I am trying to figure out how the black plastic tip on the preview lever of the newer Copal shutters can be removed - only the tip, not the lever itself.
While the tip of the aperture lever is fixed via a small screw to the actual aperture lever and can be removed easily, I cannot see a comparable screw on the tip of the preview lever. I suspect it is simply pushed fit on the metal part, but I am not 100% sure as it sits tight and I have no clue in which direction to pull. Obviously I don't want to break anything by using force. I would like to remove the plastic tip because it slightly gets in the way of mounting the shutter on a camera.

If your preview lever is contacting the lensboard when the lens is mounted, just shim the lens away from the board a bit. If it contacts the front standard, you might be able to mount the lens so the preview lever points to one of the corners, giving it a bit more room. It's awfully convenient to have the tip on there...
