The official portrait of President-elect Obama was "unveiled" on the Today show today. It is in color, of course, and shot digitally, but while the photographer, Pete Souza, was being interviewed they showed several of his photographs of Senator Obama from 2005 forward. All were in black and white, in my opinion are beautifully done and show the character of the new leader. Souza has a website showing the photographs of Obama, along with several other portfolios in both black and white and color.

The web address is http://www.petesouza.com/

Pete's a great guy. He knows Tri-X inside and out. His Plebe Summer gallery is all film. http://www.petesouza.com/gallery.html?gallery=Plebe Summer

Of course the world being what it is, he had to transition to digital when he joined the staff of the Chicago Tribune when he started photographing President-elect Obama. So don't hold that against him here.

I simply wish Pete would stop dislocating his fingers while mountain biking. I've had to take him to the hospital one too many times.

YAY! :D

I remember "Plebe Summer". Several of my crew mates of the time were having relapses of their Plebe summers from looking at the series.
