Was looking at lens today, saw one that looked like it had 2 f stop rings and identified as a preset lens. So far I have not found anything on google that explains this.
The aperture is not automatic, it is manual. You set the fstop on one ring, and the second allows you to view and focus wide open and then stop down to the "pre-set" f stop before tripping the shutter without having to look at the lens (or take the camera down from your eye.)
