I just discovered that a new and *unopened* bottle of 'Kodak T-Max' fixer have some precipitate at the walls at the bottom of the bottle. The precipitate is white, or perhaps yellowish. It doesnt seem to be any "goof" floating around in the fixer. The bottle is un-opened with the protective alumina-cap still on. The expiry-date stamped on the bottle says 2020-05. Stored in normal room temperature.
I have never seen this before. Is this normal?

A follow-up:

I was in my local store today in order to buy a new bottle of fixer - same brand as before. It turned out that *all* bottles in their stock had the same "coating"/precipitate as mentioned in my original post. Moreover, the shop's assistant told me they unpacked the bottles as of today. This shop I was in today is *not* from where I purchased the bottle in my original post, so it seems like a somewhat widespread phenomenon....strange I must say.
