I have 3 of these cameras that need some sort of repairs.I realize that it might not be worth the effort to get them repaired but I don't want to just junk them. So if anyone knows of someone who repairs these cameras please let me know.
I tried that once and I had to eventually send the camera off to an expert. I'm not mechanically inclined and therefore I don't attempt any sort of repair.

Try saturating the front and back of the shutter blades with naptha and work the shutter multiple times. Let it dry out and see if the mirror returns every time.[/QUOTE]

This camera has a focal plane shutter. I think I have found a fix for the problem online and will try it tomorrow.

I actually own and repair L series cameras so I know the shutter mechanism. Since you didn't want to disassemble it, my suggestion might be your best chance of success.
