Power winder for OM 3

Hi again can anyone tell me what power winder will fit an om 3.

There are four choices within the OM System.

1) OM Winder 1
2) OM Winder 2
3) OM Motor Drive 1
4) OM Motor Drive 2

In my opinion, the best choice is the OM System Motor Drive 2. The winders have a firing rate of 2.5 Frames per second. The Motor Drives will operate at 5 frames per second. The Motor Drive 2 has integral electronics that were designed to work with the OM-3 and OM-4.

If you are looking for a Motor Drive 2, I have several of them. I could make you a really good deal on one, but the Control Pack would need to have new Battery cells installed.

Thanks Mopar Guy, the reason i asked for specific winder is , i could not find any reference linking a winder to the OM 3
all you see mentioned is referenced to OM1 or OM 2 , is it difficult to get new battery cells to install to control pack , and what kind of costs
are we looking at?

The M. Ni-Cad Control Packs use 12 Ni-Cad cells (1.2 volt) of size 1/3A. These are getting a little hard to source. I have one source that lists them for $2.50 each. It looks like it would cost me around $45 to source all of the parts to rebuild the battery pack inside one of these. It looks like John Hermanson's price to rebuild one of these packs is $149 plus shipping. I believe that it is also possible to use NiMH cells but the charger must be put on a timer.
