For a bureaucratic system that most people hate, it has it's up sides.
Unfortunately PP has abandoned the ability to ship. They were using Pitney Bowes.
I am now using Priate Ship
Paypal now partners with Shipstation. Gives you the option of USPS or UPS. Just did this a couple of days ago.
Despite spending the past several years making bad decisions (buy a brand new fleet of fuel-powered delivery trucks? In the 2020s??), ....
the trucks are built to be converted to electric vehicles once the technology is there...
jvo
These new trucks, running on gas, achieve a whopping 8.6 mpg with AC running, 14mpg without.
Do you have any documentation for that? ....
Nice!
I use my USPS account and have the packages picked up if I don't feel like driving the two miles to the local P.O., and there's never a line. I used to live in a small town and only walked three blocks to the P.O. and never had to wait in line.
Yeah, we used to be able to do that without the Pitney-Bowes postage machine, but that changed a couple of years back.I do as well but tehre is only Priority Mail option. I send lots of First Class which can not be done at the usps web site.
From what I read at the Paypal Forum shipstation is quite problematic doing things like charging a monthly fee.I contacted shipstation and was told yes there was a monthly fee but such was reduced for those signing up via Paypal.
Another option is shippo.com - they say they waive their fee if you ship less than 10 packages a month.
I have never had nor heard of a monthly PayPal charge.
You pay based on weight and destination with regional boxes, load the box, seal and label it, then toodle on down to the PO to pay. Generally the A box falls between the small and medium flat rate boxes price wise. Any one can open a UPS account and prepay for shipping, just have a fairly accurate scale or simply use flat rate packaging. If you have the Regional A and B boxes, can you pay for the postage at the post office or does it have to be pre paid before you get there?
