Dear All,

Just a quick note to thank all of you who have sent me a postcard recently,
Johnathan NH USA, Tim Walls UK, Matthew Wells, UK, Valerie USA, Tim Gray USA, Brian Jeffrey UK, Jake Williams Scotland:

Once again I have been blown away by the photography and printing ( merit to Johnathan for BEST print quality ), they are all superb, I have had one sent from Mannheim in Germany, but I cannot make out the name ( could be Richard ? ), I have to say it is an exceptionally moving photograph and my favourite of the current crop, please keep them coming, I am away now to put them up on the notice board in the ILFORD Photo reception.

Thanks again

Simon,

The card from Mannheim is probably the one fromrst. His name is Ruediger and he is basically running the postcard exchange for Randy Ellis as he had an emergency in the family. Great guy to step in and help and his postcard is very moving I'll agree.

3 more postcards arrived today, thank you Rob Martin, Geoff Hill, Erik Gould
I have to say the quality of the Rob and Erik postcards is amongst the very best I have received this year, and Geoff Hill's is special because its from the County I was brought up in, Northumberland : In fact, IMHO the single most photogenic County in England, more castles than you can shake a stick at...Google Bamburgh castle and tell me you just have to photograph it !!!!

Simon, I'm yet to submit my efforts, but I really enjoyed seeing your pin board full of postcard entries when we came to Ilford in June!! I realize that you are extremely busy, but is there any chance that someone in your department could scan your collection, and post it on this forum sometime?

Thank you for your comments. Bamburgh castle is second only to Dunstanburgh as the most photogenic castle along the Northumberland Coast
