Another September and I'm a year older and time for a new round. Here is the sign up thread for round 63.

Please join in and keep postcards alive. Sign up lasts all September. I'll send you a list of wonderful people who like to send you postcards custom made just for you in October.

Digital shooters are welcome, I believe we only had a couple last round and all seemed to go well.

The FAQ and introduction documents have not been updated but for this round any manner of capture is permitted.
Alternate methods and processes will be appreciated. Let's see what you are up to.

Please sign up now and remember you can select the number of cards you want to send/receive.
Sign up runs the month of September, then you have two months to send and receive your cards.

OK, now the standard text, but please read on:

There are links to the FAQs and an Introduction in my signature at the bottom.

As in the previous rounds, please signup by starting a conversation with me (used to be called PM) containing your full name, address (including the country - this is an international exchange) and the number of cards you are able to send or say maximum for the maximum possible number of cards. You can also choose "ALL" you will still only receive the MAX number of cards but you will receive the complete list so you can share your work with everyone if you choose.

As in the previous rounds, if you have been in the exchange for the last couple rounds and if your address is the same, you can sign on just with giving the number of cards here in the thread. No PM needed in this case.

Important! As in the previous rounds I will post lists of participants in this thread every once in a while. If you signed in (or if you think so) please come back to this thread and check if your name is on the list. If the name should be on the list but is not, then let me know. Once the address lists are sent out early in February I can not do any changes. And also check for the number of cards behind your name.

There are a couple threads with an introduction and FAQs (check the links in my sig). Just send me a PM or ask here if you have any questions.

Please read on:

As in the previous rounds, not all participants have been able to send out the cards. For whatever reasons, if you have not fulfilled your last rounds commitment, send your cards before you sign in for this round. Just be fair. (and drop a note in the last round comments to let us know you are okay)

Now for those new to the postcard exchange, here is how it all works out.

First: It is fun!

Second: When registration is over, I will prepare address lists which I will send to the participants. You will have to send a card to every address on that list and you should receive back a card from everyone on that list. So if you join in for e.g. 20 cards you will have to send 20 cards and you should receive 20 cards back.

Third: Did I mention that it is fun? Where else can you receive cards from all over the world, different styles, different methods, different papers, and more.

Thanks George.

And maybe a stupid question before I say "all", but how many are "all" usually?

Of course I know that the number changes a bit from one PCX to the next, but give me an order of magnitude: 20? 30? 100?

My first participation in this exchange, and I'll be starting with 10. Just sent a PM with my address - thanks for organizing!

give me an order of magnitude:

It has been floating around 20. It was below that for a while. Recently, it has been above that. It has not hit 30 since I've been here. (Last round was 24, the one before it was 28.)

If you don't want to do more than a certain number, you can just say "20" or "25" - and that may end up being all.

Last round was 25, the one before it was 28. So 20-30 would be my best guess, there was a time we were in the 50s

I usually print out 30-35 of them of 3 different negatives and hand the extras out at work. Might as well, since my darkroom is a temp setup each time I print, so I usually do a long 2-3 day print session.

Correct me if I'm wrong George, but if someone says "All" right now and the numbers get quite high, you will accept a request to change the number at any time before the sign up period ends.
