Boy am I ever behind on my comments!
My apologies for my tardiness.
In no particular order, and apologies beforehand for any errors arising from typing this on a tablet computer:
Howard Earl - "Harlem portrait" - a very nice environmental portrait featuring a wonderfully interesting subject with a great expression;
iandvaag - "Cross Country" - nothing better than a snow scene frm someone who lives where it gets cold!;
jvo - "phew.... had the quiet tlr with me !!!" - certainly made me smile, and great framing of the subject too;
Gijsbert - "Buddha at Cafe Budapest" -- a very contemplative scene. I really like the print as wwell - it makes excellent use of the satin surface paper;
Black Dog - "Rosslyn #3" - a colour print! - and the juxtaposition of the two people in the scene is great;
I have to finish this post now. Another four cards remaining, so I will post again soon!

Continuing on from my post yesterday:
bedrof - "From under the Bridge" - a very nice print from a negative that apparently was exposed 20 years previously. This clearly revived some good memories for bedrof. Apparently he also used the opportunity to explorre the world of print spotting, which as an avocation could help him (and anyone else) keep busy for a long time, if my experience is any sort of guide;
Wayne Frederick - :Old Mansion, Fort Williams Park" - an excellent and highly evocative treatment of an impressive subject. The print choice - Polywarmtone Plus paper - gives it a nice "vintage" feel;
Jon Tryggvason - "Close to Home" - an incredibly stark and incredibly cold looking card. It looks interesting at first glance, and then you notice the tiny foreground detail, and suddenly the shear scale of the subject makes me go "Wow". I see some really interesting printing choices as well. Have you printed this big, Jon? If so, is it more or less powerful than on the "jewel" size postcard?
mooseontheloose - "Last Chair Standing" - whenever I see a card from Rachelle, I think of the Dr.Suess title "The Places You'll Go" This card both shows me a place - Chernobyl - which is both fascinating and a place that I'm unlikely to ever visit . Like much of Rachelle's work, it also takes me to a different sort of "place", a place of sadness, loneliness, and at least a liittle bit of foreboding, if not fear. The print is also exquisite - an almost three dimensional jewel.
That is it for now - and most likely for Round 46. By my count, 13 of 14 expected caards receiveed - not bad.

So after saying in the previous post that I had received 13 of a possible 14 cards, and assuming that was probably it for the round, you can probably guess what happened when I checked the mailbox today - there was a card there.
mike c - "Rock and Bridge" (title supplied by me) - a great use of a wide but highly corrected lens and camera (the Hasselblad SWC). Mike's juxtaposition of the natural with the man-made and almost urban is well seen, and well captured and printed.
So it turns out that I have received all 14 cards this round. That is the second round in a row where they all showed up. Thanks again everyone.

A card from mike c arrived several days ago. I like how you have framed the rocks with the bridge, and repeating patter in the distance (another bridge). I also like the warm tone of the photo - it adds depth to the photo. The paper stock you selected fits the image well. What paper is it?

I also received the same card from Mike C and asked the same question as you at post #100, to which Mike replied:

'The paper was a semi matt , I was clearing out some old odd paper one was Foma and cannot identify the other but was the same surface as the Foma but warm tone, liked them both.

Thanks for the comments Darwin,I was trying to clean up my odd older paper and found this stuff lying in the bottom of the paper safe. It is maybe Adox, old out dated Agfa or Foma, it was mixed with a another paper that was more neutral tone but with the same surface. I liked the warm tone of the paper but do'nt have any more.

Matt, thanks for your comment on the card! It was shot only in 2009, but it feels like being ages ago now.

And I completely forgot to mention, that I received a mooseontheloose's "Last chair standing" card in the end of June. Thanks to very smooth tones, looking at it is like peeping into a room, very realistic feeling. I bet you had a great experience visiting the Zone.

Thanks! I did have a good time there, would love to go back! I have to say though, it was one of the more treacherous places to visit, as the floor was pretty rotted through in most places. It was difficult to find a good spot to photograph (and not have myself reflected in the mirrors).

i also rec'd "mormon rock" from mike clark/mike c, - nice graphics and that angry rock looking on; seems like a great picture to represent the area! - well photographed and printed.

Found a card from mike c among others for Round 47, which accumulated in my mailbox while I had been away.
I like the tonality very much and a feeling of clear air too.
This card got slight damage on the way around half the globe, but still it looks very well.

Several more cards received -- thanks!

Rachelle – Last chair standing – Woah, what a place! Great composition with a clear main subject and lots of complementing details. I especially like the round mirrors.

Wayne Frederick – Fort Williams Park Mansion – The softer edges work well with the subject matter, focusing my attention on the building. I like the matte surface as well.

Bedrof – Abandoned Greenhouses – Very interesting shot! It’s pretty neat how there are still quite a few broken panes of glass hanging off the structures.

mike c – Mormon Rocks – Sorry, Mike. I seem to have missed commenting on this card. I love how much detail there is in the shadows. The detailed zig-zag pattern of the shadows is incredible. A very fine print; thanks!
