Yes, it's seems like it's September just about everywhere now. That means two things. First I'm another year older and officially a senior citizen now, But more important it's time to sign up for the next round of the wonderful Postcard Exchange. We'll take a whole month for you to decide if you want to join in and then the rest of the year to send and receive the wonderful cards. If you miss this round you'l have to wait for 2019 to try again.

OK, now the standard text, but please read on:

There are links to the FAQs and an Introduction in my signature at the bottom.

As in the previous rounds, please signup by starting a conversation with me (used to be called PM) containing your full name, address (including the country - this is an international exchange) and the number of cards you are able to send or say maximum for the maximum possible number of cards. You can also choose "ALL" you will still only receive the MAX number of cards but you will receive the complete list so you can share your work with everyone if you choose.

As in the previous rounds, if you have been in the exchange for the last couple rounds and if your address is the same, you can sign on just with giving the number of cards here in the thread. No PM needed in this case.

Important! As in the previous rounds I will post lists of participants in this thread every once in a while. If you signed in (or if you think so) please come back to this thread and check if your name is on the list. If the name should be on the list but is not, then let me know. Once the address lists are sent out early in October I can not do any changes. And also check for the number of cards behind your name.

There are a couple threads with an introduction and FAQs (check the links in my sig). Just send me a PM or ask here if you have any questions.

Please read on:

As in the previous rounds, not all participants have been able to send out the cards. For whatever reasons, if you have not fulfilled your last rounds commitment, send your cards before you sign in for this round. Just be fair. (and drop a note in the last round comments to let us know you are okay)

And as in the previous rounds, I am looking forward to this round.

Now for those new to the postcard exchange, here is how it all works out.

First: It is fun!

Second: When registration is over, I will prepare address lists which I will send to the participants. You will have to send a card to every address on that list and you should receive back a card from everyone on that list. So if you join in for e.g. 20 cards you will have to send 20 cards and you should receive 20 cards back.

Third: Did I mention that it is fun? Where else can you receive cards from all over the world, different styles, different methods, different papers!

Hi George - thanks for continuing your efforts on this.
20 again for me, and no change on the address.

13 seems to the number so far. Lars tried to sign up twice but I cut him back.
As always let me know of any errors of missing names. Still time to sign up, don't wait for the last minute.

My name seems to be missing from the list. I sent you a message on the 5th, I am in for the max.
I remember updating your info, I must have made a typo. I'll fix it for sure in the morning. Thanks for noticing.

I belong to a postal portfolio, and several longstanding members left for various reasons-it's taken quite a while to replace them but we have found some new members who've stuck with it. I think the postcard exchange is the same (where are you BWKate I wonder?)

Yes, we've lost some great members over the years (BWKate always had amazing images, but has not been on this site for 3 years - I hope she's doing okay whatever she's doing now), but I think we've gained quite a few too. I think if you look at any thread or member exchanges over the years (2 years ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago) you'll see names that used to be regular here and are no longer around. That's the nature of things I guess.
