A couple updated addresses for bedrof & Black Dog. I believe everyone has been added to the conversation now, so please check. If there are any others, just reply to that conversation and I believe everyone will see it.

Sorry for the updates, sometimes it goes this way.

Wow I received my first post card already! A lovely portrait by Mooseontheloose!
You are right that it is a little soft but I think it enhanced the subject.
The paper -fuji graded 3 rc- is just beautiful. Thank you very much!

Thanks Darin - that was quick! Actually, I wanted to print it at grade 2, to get more detail in the hair, but I ran out of that paper, all I have left now is the slightly harder grade. But, to be honest, I like it more, even with the lack of detail, because it pops a bit more.

I also received the portrait from mooseontheloose. My first reaction was "This is a gorgeous portrait." The softness of the image, and increased contrast give the photo "life". I also like how she is looking directly at the viewer. I gives interest to her story. Thanks for a beautiful portrait.

Regards,
Darwin

Thanks Darwin! I don't normally take portraits of people, but it's something I would like to work on and explore more.

Yes, first card by Rachel received - really lovely, symmetric view into a palace. The stacked entrances direct the view to a 'mysterious' person. Well done in terms of composition, but also excellent from a technical point of view. Really like that paper as well.

My cards are printed, but need to be labeled and readied for the post office. I hope to have them in the postal system by weeks end. I have tried something different this round, and hope they survive the mail sorting machines.

Regards,
Darwin

I just sent mine, but I think I should do a recall after receiving Rachelle's beautiful portrait, the young lady has porcelain complexion, has pride and place on the refrigerator for now.
Be amazed if the postal service can read my hand writing anyhow, looks like the proverbial thumb nail dipped in tar writing.
Look forwards to receiving more.

I too have received Rachelle's card. It just glows!
I'm always intrigued when I see something different from someone who participates regularly on the exchange - I look forward to their cards, and then they turn around and surprise and delight me.
That being said, there is a pretty good chance that my card this round is going to involve a tree or two :D!

Thanks Matt. To be fair, I sent two cards this round, the other, non-portrait, is much more my regular style I think. As for trees, well, it wouldn't be the postcard exchange without a few trees now, would it? Who knows, that may be the subject of my card for the next round, as my last photo excursion was the forested slopes of Mt. Koya.

Today, I've got Avi's Two friends. Looks like a candid shot, I really like it, I feel like I'm witnessing the conversation.

Thanks!

Merci Lauent! It was indeed a candid shot, not something I do often. In addition to the postcard I sent out two rounds ago (of the artist sketching the church interior), I'm hoping to print a third candid image for a future postcard round and turning it into a little series of three from my travels in Italy.

Also, I received mooseontheloose's card today - a beautiful portrait, and the soft focus works really nicely.

My postcards are ready, and will be delivered to the post office tomorrow (Monday in the US). My experiment and technique kinda worked, so every card is unique. I wished for better uniformity than occurred, but alas that is part of learning something new. I hope you do not mind be part of my "playing with a new process" investigations.

Regards,
Darwin

Got DRPSILVER's card to day and must say it is beautiful, a well done card . "Aging Gracefully" has been beat up a bit by the mail service which adds to it's patina and the theme. Thanks Darwin, thats a lot of work on your part and the card shows it.

Four cards arrived in the last fortnight.

mooseontheloose - Selfiecheck. Your square pictures on the post cards captures the interest of guests to our home.
aluk - "Two Friends". Another square picture that is viewed over and over at my place.
awty - Old Farm. I know that country side from my childhood years growing up in and around the Sunraysia/Broken Hill regions.
drpsilver - Aging Gracefully. Your cyanotype survived the postal service well, a lot of work has been put into this post card.

I just wanted to let you know that my cards will arrive late. I am embarking on a trip to east coast USA tomorrow and will be home again in a month. Perhaps I'll bring some interesting new negatives to print. I'll be using my lightest camera - a Smena 8. Plastic body and scale focusing, but a nice lens and fully manual.

I've received my first Round 44 card from DRPSilver-an elegantly subtle tea toned cyanotype, very well observed. I played around with cyanotype as a student years ago, must do some more.
