While it's still January 1st here on the east coast of Canada I thought I'd better get this thread started. I hope we all have a great 2017 and a greater round 40!

January: sign-on
February, March: print and mail
April: breather

OK, now the standard text, but please read on:

As in the previous rounds, please signup by starting a conversation with me (used to be called PM) containing your full name, address (including the country - this is an international exchange) and the number of cards you are able to send or say maximum for the maximum possible number of cards. You can also choose "ALL" you will still only receive the MAX number of cards but you will receive the complete list so you can share your work with everyone if you choose.

As in the previous rounds, if you have been in the exchange for the last couple rounds and if your address is the same, you can sign on just with giving the number of cards here in the thread. No PM needed in this case.

Important! As in the previous rounds I will post lists of participants in this thread every once in a while. If you signed in (or if you think so) please come back to this thread and check if your name is on the list. If the name should be on the list but is not, then let me know. Once the address lists are sent out early in October I can not do any changes. And also check for the number of cards behind your name.

There are a couple threads with an introduction and FAQs (check the links in my sig). Just send me a PM or ask here if you have any questions.

Please read on:

As in the previous rounds, not all participants have been able to send out the cards. For whatever reasons, if you have not fulfilled your last rounds commitment, send your cards before you sign in for this round. Just be fair. (and drop a note in the last round comments to let us know you are okay)

And as in the previous rounds, I am looking forward to this round.

Now for those new to the postcard exchange, here is how it all works out.

First: It is fun!

Second: When registration is over, I will prepare address lists which I will send to the participants. You will have to send a card to every address on that list and you should receive back a card from everyone on that list. So if you join in for e.g. 20 cards you will have to send 20 cards and you should receive 20 cards back.

Third: Did I mention that it is fun? Where else can you receive cards from all over the world, different styles, different methods, different papers!

I have fulfilled my last (my first) PE Round 39, all my postcards were sent (although I have not received the same number in return (yet), - if I had to, which IDK -

Anyway, I'm in for 10 again (same address) if possible. George, should you have any problem to find my address details, please let me know!

Thank you, Happy New Year to everyone, and Happy new Exchange to every "exchanger"!
Best

I think some of them get lost in the mail, I always make a few extras but so far know one has complained yet.

George, I am in for the MAX. All contact information is unchanged from Round #39. It is hard to believe that this is Round #40 (my first was Round #12). How time flies when you are having fun in the darkroom.

Happy New Year to all.

Regards,
Darwin (drpsilver)

Hi George,
David, Sue and I are in again for 30.

In the last round someone was asking about where images of cards could be viewed, Michelle here would love to be able to post these on our social media / blog (with the users permission of course)

Something to think about for this next round ?

Thanks,
Neil

I do not know what our "social media" means exactly, is it the "media" folder here on APUG? Being a memeber I would prefer it to be on an open place for everyone to see, but as far as I am concerned, go ahead with mine anyway.

Regards!

I am referring to the Ilford Photo social media feeds, Facebook, Instagram etc and/or Ilford Photo website blog.
Could be a nice way to show off these lovely cards we receive.

Neil:

I am fine with you posting any of my images. The only requirements I would have is that they were made as part of the APUG Postcard Exchange, and if convenient a credit with either APUG or real name.

Sounds like a cool idea!

As a relative newbie to this site, can you add me to this round of postcard sending please. :D

I feel a bit mean / underwhelming in my offer, but having only dealt with single recipients on another site for something similar, can you put me down for SIX cards for me to send out = a bit less than most offer, but an amount I feel comfortable with sending initially. I hope this is okay?

PM being sent with my full details.

Terry, thats what we all started with but after a few rounds it gets more fun and before you know it those impossible words come out "I'll go the MAX".

Had to skip round 39 because health issues in the family kept me from printing for round 38. Now that my cards for round 38 are out... I certainly would like to join again for this round.

Sign me up for 15 cards, details same as in round 38.
The good news is that I printed them already, that's definitely a first for me (in 20+ rounds of this exchange).

To Neil @Harman Tech Service : yes, sure, I'd like that. I'll even add my twitter handle for you to share, I see much interesting things there from ILFORDPhoto, sharing great work from many people. To stick to the terminology: there's nothing wrong with some exposure!

Cool, I'd like to join this round as well, 15 cards please, address the same as in round 39.

@Harman Tech Service : I'd be okay with social media post, my twitter+instagram handle is @gdehaan

And all the best for 2017!
