Jake,
It's not that they can't get it, it's just they don't want to carry it anymore even though it sells out as soon as they get it in stock.
So send the postcards to Scotland and not to your parents place in Normandy?

Kate-yes, use the address in Melrose on the latest list. Shame about the PC paper-maybe you can mail order it? And I'd certainly let Simon Galley know about this as well;hopefully he can sort it out.

Got my first card from Black Dog - lovely print

I think I've settled on the negative - although still got a few more rolls to develop from my holiday so there could be a last minute substitution - hopefully going to get head down to the enlarger this week!

It's very exciting .

My cards are in the hands of the post office. Fingers are crossed. Got a lovely print from Jon King today. I decided to have a 'theme' so I chose 5 pictures from a book project I am doing. All were taken with vintage cameras- a Kodak Brownie 2A, Diana and Pho-Tak. Hope you enjoy them.

My postcards were out Friday, the printing was not easy for me this time. The baby is crying, wife is yelling and water is boiling.....

Anyway, this time is my biggest mail operation ever, total 39 cards and to 12 different countries Hope you guys like it.

Also, I received 4 cards already, they are from Art, Dianna, Jake and Mike Wilde. I love them all.

3 new cards:

Thanks Art, for the Toronto skyline. Did you shoot 40 instant film shots? That's impressive, and it's nice to get something out of the ordinary.

Long Island airshow from Alex. I love the lone arm sticking up to toast the pilots.

Ice cream cone from hal9000. It looks as though it will melt in the sun at any moment.

Thanks all

Got Alex's (?) airshow image the other day. I really liked this one. Might be one of my favorites I've gotten in this round or the last. Not that I don't love them all

I sent some more cards to friends of mine. They told me, that the post office ruined the front a little bit (no big deal but nevertheless) with their black postmark and then putting the cards together without drying.

I am sorry that I did not realised the problem either.

Very busy month for me. So ...cards started arriving before I was able to print mine. Well ...I'll do it this weekend.
So far I received 4 cards:
Black Dog Thanks Jake for" In A silent way" very interesting view of the mountain range.
Art again with unique presentation of a sky line in Toronto. Well done.
Thanks Dianna for a different approach and experimentation. Nice. I just wish mailman did not use rubber band to wrap mail and bend one side of the image to hell.
Very nice image fromJonathan King of Woodmont Orchards. Crisp image, I like it.
I am looking forward to more cards to arrive and I will send mine off next week.

Cheers Greg

Spent the better part of an evening (til 3:00 a.m.) in the darkroom printing the postcards. Tried using some Kentmere FB paper but I think our safelight is not the right one for this paper. I didn't do a paper safelight test but I will when I have more time. I still have a sneaky suspicion that it is not safe.
Glad I picked two brand new images for this round! Decided to use my Ilford postcard paper instead of some untried FB.

Kate:

For future reference, if you are not going to use the Ilford postcard paper, consider RC paper. It holds up well to the trials and tribulations of the postal system, and AVERY labels stick well to it (be sure to use as large a label as you are able).

Matt

P.S. 3:00 a.m. is different when you are in the darkroom, isn't it

Hi Folks,

Last week, I got 5 postcards to begin this round.
  • AlexW's salute to an air show in vernacular style is great.
  • Doug's Pepsi Cola sign made me look twice as at first I though he printed the neg backwards, but the sign was shot from behind, so all is good in the world!
  • A very nicely printed flower still life from Tim.
  • I'd love to take a photo trip to the Orchard in Hollis, NH
  • What made Jesse look so serious, Mick? Yes, her ear rings are freaky.
Regards, Art.

Finished printing a couple of hours ago. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, they should go out tomorrow.

I've posted mine today. Tried something different this round.

Cheers

Mike

Recieved it today-thanks, very atmospheric. You might try Fomatone when the PWT runs out.

Phew, mine will go out tomorrow. Since we split the image title on our two images, and wanted to make sure, that everyone getting ones card will also get the otherones card, Ingo and I decided to send postcards to all participants. So do not be surprised to find my card in the mailbox, but I am not on your list. That happens intentionally

I have received four cards so far, a big refreshment form Hal, a nice surprise from Art, a nice landscape from Jake and an image taken at an air show, great composition from ... well, I can not read the name.

Also I still look for people who want to send an extra card to Thomas Linow and thanks to everyone who already did so, I sent your addresses to Thomas. Oh, did I mention that I still look for people willing to send an extra card to Thomas?

ciao
