Now, that's just unfair!

I have not even figured out what I'm going to print, and I already received a card from J Rollinger today! Definitely a record. How did you do it so fast? It is a very nice street shot of Chicago. Very well executed and shows a very lively life of a busy city.

Looks like some cards are in the mail! So far, no address updates, so the rest may feel free to send away!

If you have some extra cards, please feel free to send to the folks below, Simon is active here and brings us the lovely Ilford PostCard paper that many use. It's kinda hard to tell who is who at Kodak but at least Brad Kruchten still has film as part of his exec profile.

I was 90% of the way there 4 weeks ago. Not sure when the other 10% - buy stamps and apply the address labels - will be able to be fitted into this week though.

I am a quartermaster for the kids Scouts troop, and we have a year end camp with all the kids from 5-18 years of age attending at the same time in 9 days.

So this is the time of year when all of the gear in marginal shape needs to get brought back into spec because there are no spare parts left behind for this event.

I have got a fair number of R25 images in the last month. I like the way the no sign up for next round until last round is out rule is working out in that way.

I don't know whether George's special forum moderator's powers have come through yet, but if so, this thread should be made a "Sticky".

I'll pass on the request to the other, more "all powerful" moderators too .

First time in the postcard exchange and it looks as though I'm the first to receive a postcard from Round #26.

Many thanks to Andy (Oxleyroad) for sending me a print from his first play with IR Film. Not only am I thrilled to have a 'real print', I've never seen any IR work in real life. Thank you so much, Andy! (I'm also incredibly jealous of your garden as my own little patch is now a mess of bird netting, stakes and overgrown weeds... yours looks perfect!) What a wonderful introduction to the postcard exchange.

I too received J Rollinger's "Michigan Avenue" - an interesting example of "street" photography.

And remarkably, I also received piu58's card too! All the way from Germany to the west coast of Canada in 4 days.

"Simmer House" has some interesting shapes and textures and it is well printed as well.

2 down, 22 to go!

piu58's Simmer House has also made it to the east coast of Canada. First to arrive in my mailbox this round. Very interesting card, I love the weathered wood, the various joints old and new. I really should get my camera out before I take the paint brush to the house this summer!

Well, the first card of the exchange has made it to Japan, and it's Uwe's "Simmer House." Love the textures of the wood, reminds me of the smokehouse (c. 1812) at the museum where I used to work.

I have received three cards to-date. The card from J Rollinger brought back memories of my trip to Chicago last year for a cousin's wedding. We stayed not too far from where this photo was made. The card from piu58 is a wonderful mix of tone and texture. Mooseontheloose photographed a Japanese icon from a very different perspective. I like it a lot. Fantastic mix of high and low values that "play against" each other well. (The stamp Rachelle used is cool also.)

Thanks to all for the great prints.

Regards,
Darwin

Two cards arrived (thankfullly dry as we are officially in the rainy season now) today:

Oxleyroad's "The Back Garden" -- a nice subtle look of IR. As I have one roll of HIE left, I'll have to start experimenting with the other infrared films out there. I like the minimal grain in this Rollei film.

J Rollinger's "Michigen Avenue" has a nice contemporary feel to it, and the big yellow schoolbus brings back memories.

Thanks!

mooseontheloose - Miyajima Torii at night. I have never seen this icon shot from this angle. I can appreciate the effort you went to to get this shot having been there myself (back in my d*****l days). I have also not come across the fuji paper you have used before. I like it.

Yesterday I received Oxyreloads Back garden. At this photo there is much to see, it is a nice application of infrared.

Had a great start to the round, with cards from the following:

J Rollinger - Michigan Avenue makes me miss the 2 weeks I spent shooting the Conrad Hotel in Chicago; would love to go back for an actual holiday!
mooseontheloose - just got back from a whirlwind trip to Tokyo (work again) and I really want to get back there for a holiday as well.
Oxleyroad - IR is a favourite of mine and I've got a roll (or 2?) of this back home that I'm now itching to try.
piu58 - lovely tones and tectures: I love photographing these types of subjects also.

A great start to the round - looking forward to more soon.
