Post your landscape photos here

These photo's are from my anno 2000 book on megaliths 'DE STILTE DER STENEN' (The Silence Of The Stones): http://www.photoeil.be/books/de-stilte-der-stenen.html.
These were made in Drenthe (Hondsrug) in the North of the Netherlands, Wéris near Durbuy in Belgium and Le Golfe de Morbihan In Bretagne, France. Shot between 1995 and 1999, I only could recently repair the damaged harddrive with the files from the photoengraving.
They were all shot with Hasselblad and Technorama 617 on AGFA APX 400 processed in Rodinal 1+50 when at 400 ASA and Refinal (undiluted/replenished) when at 1000 ASA (Technorama handheld), and some filters: UV, Yellow, Yellow-Green, Green and Orange.

Printed on AGFA MCC FB 111, and reproduced by a photoengraving company for the publisher/printer LANNOO.

Drenthe, North of the Netherlands not far from Groningen.

No way Steve, I'm the Worlds worst landscape photographer, I shoot people,.

This curious mind is tempted to inquire about size and the caliber of your weapon.. but I am somewhat hesitant to so do.

Is there a way you can make your book directly available via the Classified Ads?

I love the tall weeds in the foreground shadow!

No, only 1200 got printed and these were sold out within merely 3 months, and as the publisher didn't wanted to take the risk of an unsold reprint, no more books are available, sad indeed.
You must know that, at first, the publisher wasn't so keen to publish this book. Imagine: a rather délicate and "unknown" subject like this, with "only" black and white photos, written in Flemish/Dutch by a non renown scientist (although the author/writer was an art historian working for a cultural radiostation, and a very passionate connaisseur of the prehistory) he estimated this as a high risky project...
Only thanks to the support of a solid bank holding, the publisher tempted the jump!
Don't forget that Lannoo is the most important book publisher in Flanders, really.

I started this project, together with the writer, at our own initiative and expense in the hope to find it published.

Two years ago, an unsigned and wel used copy of that book was auctioned on the internet for € 132,-, it originally costed € 35,-.

O tempora, o mores!
