Gorgeous and I will echo what Jim said, that tree puts it all in perspective.
Going through some files from late spring as I put off scanning in multiple rolls of film and doing more developing and came across these. From a new state park, old stomping grounds for me on a stormy evening. Stone Door.
Thank you!Speaking of gorgeous. Nice job Jon!

Beautiful but a little bit fantastic!Going through some files from late spring as I put off scanning in multiple rolls of film and doing more developing and came across these. From a new state park, old stomping grounds for me on a stormy evening. Stone Door.

Love this simple, intimate composition. Well done!
Thanks Jon. That is exactly what I was going for. The problem with this image is finding the right balance to feel like dusk, but not appear dark. I keep going back and forth with it.
I really like the blue mountains in you Mt. Washington image, but feel the foreground distracts from and reduces the impact of the repeating pattern and hazy mood of the mountains. Have you tried cropping out the foreground rocks and keep the middle ground and background? I think it would make for a strong graphic.
