Post your abstract photographs here

These are really nice!

Thanks Jim. When I started with abstracts it was surprisingly difficult to do, because a camera is not the most ideal tool for that. So, these are real photo's without much post processing but I prefer to generate them solely by computer.

Post pics, not links.
Actually, the site would prefer that you post links.
And in John's (jnantz) case, his Photrio Gallery is absolutely chock full of abstracts - so he is just being efficient!

you folks are nice
SNC
most of my work is "abstract" from what I understand, and since I have a subscription I post in the gallery,
I'd rather not fill threads up with my images too, and since non paying / non subscribing members can see gallery images ( instead of just thumbnails )
why not link to the gallery ?
sorry for ruffling your feathers !
John

The only guy from which the feathers were ruffled was ... uh what was his name? I added him to the ignore list.

This is directly from the camera (Olympus E-M1X) without much work in post, only a crop for good composition. I'm actually still figuring out the circumstances and which settings the camera had to make it reproducible for similar results.

These are not photo's but directly generated by two apps I wrote for the purpose of making computer generated abstracts. The apps have various parameters which can be set to steer the result, but there is also a random component. The strategy is to produce sequences of pictures and then selecting the ones that are visually attractive.

No ruffled feathers. I am happy to have been able to revive this thread after a year of hibernation. Cheers, SnC
