This area of APUG is slow and I figure people may be afraid of posting their images. So, post some shots for C&C! I will provide commentary on every shot that is posted. Please include what camera it was shot with, what it was shot on, and how it was converted to digital. Include a short statement if necessary. Here are some of mine to start us off:

Device: Konica Auto S3
Medium: Kodak PJC 1600 shot at EI800 (expired between '94 and '97)
Digitalizer: Nikon 4000ED, Vuescan

Though perhaps they have different impetuses, both of these men have the gall to sleep in public. This makes them much closer than they would like to believe.

Testing a free Minox 35GT

I was GIVEN a little 1985 MINOX 35GT I have used it for 'Street Photography several times -- here are some results --
Negs scanned with an old EPSON 1650 flatbed, Vuescan and PhotoShop 7 for re-sizing and adjusting if necessary.
Film was all outdated, Kodak GPX 160 rated 80 ASA and the old gent was on 'Truprint' ( 3M) 200 rated 100 ASA.
I processed all myself in C41 chemistry.

Pete-

One thing that I really enjoy about street photography is the balls that it takes to pull the camera out and take the shots. Your images leave me with the feeling that you were uncomfortable - the concepts are there but the hasty composition is detracting.

I think your last shot is the most indicative of this...what a great juxtaposition! The composition really throws it off for me.

Hopefully more members will be able to add their thoughts and comments, as well as more images for us to take a look at.

EDIT:

Here's a photo of mine that shows what I'm talking about. I was in a library and afraid to pull my camera out and actually take pictures, so I put it on a table and shot instead. The man in the picture was horribly frustrated, out of work, and trying to find a job. My image conveys none of that. Street is about being intimate, and I didn't have the balls to get intimate with this shot. I kick myself for not being able to perform in situations like this. What am I really afraid of?

Here in UK now you are likely to get a PUNCH in the FACE or the POLICE arriving due to everyone being so 'aware' now of people with cameras and towns being under surveillance with CCTV cameras everywhere !

Here is one taken many years ago in London and a 10x8" print from my files scanned -- they saw me but didn't mind -- would be DIFFERENT NOW !

Time for me to show my ignorance. What is C&C?

I've done a bit of street photography downtown where I live but downtown is one block wide and maybe six blocks long.

I didn't get any real "Street Photography" frames from that roll of film but I got a couple of cool frames of Ford Model A:

I did find a person sitting at a park bench near the lake and took a long shot of her sitting and looking at the lake, but the image was completely uninteresting.
