Freeze unused film for long storage. what about after they are used? If you are travel or for whatever reason you cannot process them right away, is putting them in the refrigerator ok? How long can they up to there?

Yes, you can do that, as long as you're keeping it in the fridge for the most part. If you're chilling it and then letting it come back to room temperature and chilling again, that increases the chances of moisture affecting the film, so if you're going to be moving around a lot, it's probably better just to keep it at room temperature.

Of course it's best to develop film as soon as possible, but there have been times when I've had to store exposed, unprocessed film for months, and the images are still there.
