Hi all, I have no more Ferric ammonium oxalate and wsa wondering if it is possible to make it from Ferric Oxalate and an ammonium compound? any help is appreciated...thanks
Just by mixing ammonium oxalate and Ferric oxalate. And if you don't have Ammonium oxalate , by mixing first Ammonium carbonate and oxalic acid.
I have a formula somewhere in my lab note book , as I used to make some but I have to find it. But some one maybe have the number under his eyes.
It's probably more cost effective to buy Ferric Ammonium Oxalate rather than make it. I sell 1000g of FAO for $58, while the same amount of Ferric Oxalate will run you $350.
Thanks for the replies everyone...nze....I don't have ammonium oxalate, but I do have ammonium chloride and oxalic acid...any chance I can work with this?
