Possible Scam on Ebay

Then I noticed this item: http://cgi.ebay.com/ZONE-VI-4x5-wit...ryZ82621QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Each on is a one day listing. I email the person and got his response:

Thank you for your email.Selling price for the unit is 1200$ delivery included.Here are the details you need in order to finalise the purchase.Payment for the unit is via western union and will go to my associate name.All you have to do in order to complete the payment via western union is to locate the closest western union agency using www.westernunion.com, find agent location option from their home page ,go there with the money your id card and my details and complete the payment.Now here are the details you need from my side :

Email me as soon as you complete the payment with the name and address of the sender,western union 10 digits money transfer control number and also the delivery address.Will look forward for your reply with the necessar informations in order for me to arrange everything that means the delivery of the item to your address.

Yes it is a scam.... I have seen the same listing over and over again this past month. All 24hr listings.

Who ever this is they are using "hacked" ebay account info hoping to get the item(s) sold and paid for before the get caught.

Look at his history and you see he mainly sell rare automobile parts, not camera equipment. Even to an eBay novice like me it looks fishy.

I have seen that guy list that Zone VI camera for SEVERAL WEEKS, all for one day listings starting at 7 dollars. As soon as the auction has started, he ends it after a few hours of it being up! This has happened at least 4 times so far.

Everytime I see it up I think to myself that I might be able to get that nice setup for really cheep...but I guess not! HAHA.

I have been looking for an iMac for my office and I swear, about half of all the listings are like this. I feel fortunate that no one has managed to hijack my account yet. It is getting like the emails, I now get more spoof eBay emails than real ones.

Yes where there's no will there's no way and I haven't seen much evidence of will on the part of e-bay or any of the authorities. I wonder how long it would be a scammers' paradise if there was even just a hint that anything with even the remotest possibility of the remotest connection to terrorism was suspected of using e-bay.
