Hey everyone, first post here but i had an issue I’ve never ran into before and wondered if i have a problem. I have a canon 5d mk iii and just got the canon r6. My canon 70-200 2.8 is version 1 is acting up. The IS motor is running continuously when i turn the r6 on. It does stop humming when i turn IS off. When i put the lens back on the 5d it only runs for a few seconds then shuts off like it should. So any thoughts on this? Whether this is relevant or not i checked to make sure continuous AF is not on. Obviously I’ve owned this lens for a long time since it’s version 1 but it’s never acted like this. Maybe I’m going crazy but it sees to be louder than it used to be. Send it to canon for a cla? Any thought or opinions are much appreciated thanks!

Call Canon. It may need a firmware update if it's as old as you say.

Probably right I’ve never checked. I’m just wondering if i have a setting weird on the r6 or maybe that’s how the ibis works. Either way hopefully canon has some answers!
