I have been learning to develop positives lately and am stumped at what to do. I got the Foma 100R film / chemistry beceuse I wanted to try something that was known to work well togeather. My first run was extremely dark (almost could not see through the film) and I attributed it to drum processing. I reduced the 1st dev by %30 to compensate. It lightened it up to the point of it being a recognizable slide. It is still too dark.
The instructions state that the 100R retains its box speed. I spot metered all shots and I should be getting better results. Do I back off the 1st dev again or just increase exposure? Is this a sign that I am doing something else wrong?
