My Beseler 45 MXT has an Aristo cold light module.
I printed 4x5 inch with it and have very equal lighting.
If I want to print 35 mm or 6x9 do I have to rise it up like if you do with a condensor lightsource or does it always stay as close a possible to the negative carrier?

Thanks in advance

I have not moved mine for at least 20 years. This ma not be the recommended method, but it works for me. I see no sense in reducing light at the negative, regardless of size.

The upper bellows should remain collapsed for cold-light sources for all formats. The bellows and accompanying scale (if it's still attached) for different film formats is for the condenser head, which does have to be repositioned for optimum coverage of different formats.
