I'm somewhat new to the group so bear with me if I become confused by the system
Does anybody out there know of a 4x5 pos neg film (similar to the old Polaroid)? It's decades since I've used it so I'd be grateful for information leading to affordable material

I was hoping that was not the case. I thought that I'd heard a whisper about Fuji producing something.

Fuji produce B&W Instant print films that fit the Polaroid packs for MF cameras and a single sheet film for their own 5x4 holder, but not an integral Neg/Pos.

By the time Ilford spoke to Polaroid much of the equipment had been dismantled & scrapped. So there's no chance now of a similar product.

Such is life. Maybe I was just wanting to be lazy. Now I'll have to get somebody to carry the camera, tripod AND a heap of d/ds. There could be a divorce on the horizon!

Even though 55 produced both a neg and a print, you generally had to choose between producing a good print, or a good negative.
For compactness there are ready-loads from Fuji which is standard film in a sheath similar to the Polaroid's. Kodak made these also, but they are dropping them. These are used in a special single-sided holder, and can be used in a Polaroid 545 holder, so I understand.

There are also Grafmatic holders which allow you to have 6 sheets in one holder. Grafmatics can be tempermental, but are great for reducing the volume of stuff you need to cart around.
