Hi group,

I poked around on meetup.com without much success, so asking here

Is there currently a Portland film photography meetup? If not, is this something enough people here would be interested in to try to get it started?

If there isn't one and people are interested, I can ask my employer about hosting - we host a number of community events.

I think it would be a good idea. I live in Woodland which makes Portland a pretty convenient drive.

What do you have in mind for the meetup? Print sharing, photographing, eating and drinking?

Yeah, all of the above. Mostly share prints/negs and talk about techniques. Maybe the occasional tutorial or presentation if whatever space we end up in can support that format.

I was unable to secure my employer's blessing to use our space, so I've gone ahead and picked the Green Dragon. It's usually not too noisy on week nights and is pretty central.

Hoping to see some of you there!
