Popular Cross-over lenses between Digital and Film?

Anyone have affinity for a particular lens (aftermarket or orig.) that can be used with BOTH a SLR and DSLR?

I have a few lenses I trade back and forth between my D200 DSLR and F100 film body, but am missing something in the wide to ultrawide range.

Of course the D200 is a DX sensor and the F100 is a full-frame film camera, but it's bearable.

Any observations or suggestions?

This is something which was tryied many times. These days it is more of those who are using old film only time lenses on digital, than on film.
Just google any lens in your interest and add "review". If you don't know the lens, enter focal length and "F mount" in eBay search.
This is how I found Vivitar 20 3.8. Then I googled it and most of reviews came on digital.

I use Pentax K mount lenses on Samsung NX bodies. That gets me fast Pentax primes as well as compact/fast Samsung wides (nice bokeh on mirrorless), excellent Samsung zooms.
Can't use the Samsung lenses on my Pentax bodies.

As a Pentaxian I use my 50mm f1.2 on my K 5. Excellent portrait lens, wonderful bokeh, and can shoot in available darkness. I also recently scored a Tamron 300 f2.8 Adaptall which is lovely on either my LX or K 5. With its dedicated 1.4 extender it gives good results and a bit more reach. I also have a Tamron 90mm f2.8 macro which is happy on either body.

My most recently acquired bit-zapper is a Canon EOS M5 and Canon has a handy adapter that appears to work well with any of my EF and EF-S lenses, but I went further and picked up an adapter to use my FD stuff. I have used some of the latter for studio/tabletop work successfully. But since I actually bought the camera for travel, I tend to prefer its native lenses for the sake of compactness and lower weight.

I use my 105 micro and 28pc lenses (both Nikkor) with my D5600 all the time. I also have an 18 - 200 zoom (Nikkor digital lens, not the kit lens, I forget which one, cost $450 used from KEH).
Everything works, and with careful testing at the same focal lengths, I've determined that both "film" lenses (1980's vintage) are sharper and provide better image quality than the newer zoom.
But the zoom is convenient, both other lenses are manual (which they always were). I typically use incident readings, or take a "pre" reading with the auto zoom first. The incident readings are quite accurate, as verified in camera RAW.

All of my Nikon lenses work with both. It is easier if you have a full frame digital camera, though. Although I like mounting my 300mm to my D300 for that extra (perceived) reach.

When shooting digital, I generally prefer the convenience of autofocus I get from using my Fuji lenses on my Fuji X bodies, not to mention the great IQ. But recently I got a SMC Pentax-M 35 mm, f/2.0 to use on my Pentax MX film cameras. With a $20 adapter, I've also been using this K-mount lens on my Fujis. I like the Pentax 35mm f/2 lens a lot, and the image quality is very good on both my digital Fujis and film cameras.

I shoot a D700 so the the FOV is the same no matter which camera body I use.

If you limit the possibilites to lenses in the "wide to ultrawide range" then adapting film lenses to APS-C digital cameras such as your D200 becomes somewhat more problematic because of the crop factor. On full-frame/135 film cameras, I would consider lenses with focal lengths in the 24-28mm lens to be "wide" - and anything much less than that to be "ultrawide."

To get the same field of view as what a 20mm lens provides on 135 film, you would need to find a focal length of about 13-14mm for your APS-C sensor. Film camera lenses for 135 start getting to be somewhat exotic when the focal length is less than 20mm, and by exotic, I mean harder to find, and more expensive.

Our old Nikon manual lenses, and my more recent line-up of Zeiss ZF2-series glass can travel back and forth between our 35mm cams and my D200 and D850.
Our Nikon 14-24 does the job as 'very wide' for both the D200 and especially the D850.
