Is there any archival difference between polypropylene and polyester (melinex) plastic bags for protecting mounted prints?

I have also seen Ephemera Polyethylene bags from Light Impressions.

Has one any advantage over the others?

Polypropylene and Polyester bags are both archival. Polyester has better optical properties, but builds up more static with friction, thus attracting more dust. Polypropylene is cheaper and more elastic. I tend to favor heavy Polypropylene for storage and Polyester for presentation portfolios.
Hope this helps,

thefizz,
Are you bagging them only for storage, or will you sell to the public? Like in a print bin.
I use the polypropylene because of expense.
I have to swap out new ones twice a year, due to the handling from the public, and it's pretty cheap.
The clarity and protection is fine.

clearbags.com has the nice ones with the adhesive strip on the bag and not the flap so your print won't get stuck when putting it in the bag. I noticed that freestyle has them in the store now as well.

Hi Dave, both I guess, but mainly for display/selling purposes.

Thanks Vinny, I will check out clearbags.com
