From mid 1960s , World Banknote printers are working on printing to polymer. Now 2500 different polymer banknotes are in circulation. First banknotes printed on Dupont Tyvek but ink smeared in hot weather. Now technology advanced and everyday billions of products packaged with printed on polymer substrates , films.
I learned Canada printed its currency on BOPP Film. It is clear , coated with easy to print , print carrying coatings two sides , hard to tear , few layers are laminated with uv adhesives , metallic film inside banknote.
I think many people are caring their work like me and want to produce nonaging platin. But the weak link is the paper and its weakness.
I think someone can buy few tens of meters of BOPP film and print his work on it and make few more layers and collect them with uv ink lamination and protect his her works for thousands of years.
You can wash your print in washing machine also.
You can try to laminate your big negative in to polymer and protect it for next generations also.
