Hi folks,

I have a problem with SX-70 camera that I'm unable to figure out.

When I bought my camera the issue was that when I put in a cartridge and closed the door it automatically printed a film out then it closed the shutter of the lens so I could not see through the viewfinder. After the first film is printed out, the camera does not respond to anything until I open and close the door again. Then it prints again. It also prints when I open the camera (not the door). The shutter button is not responding, however, I know it's working because when I manually turn the counter to any number and then press the button then the camera motor rolls for a sec and stops, so I know the button is fine.

So after I disassembled this camera and cleaned all parts, I could not find what the problem was with it, however, I realised one function is not working, which is the film counter. I can manually turn it, and the cartridge resets it but it does not count when I print out a film, so the advancer mechanism could be malfunctioning.

The camera is in great condition otherwise.

Could anyone help please?
