I thought I read the new Polaroid (formerly Polaroid Originals, more formerly Impossible Project) had dropped the film for these. I guess you could single-load Instax Wide, but I don't think the camera will eject and develop that, and it's dependent on the battery in the film pack to operate.

Might be. It's as orphaned as an ophaned camera can get. I've got two, one has a light leak in the bellow and the other is missing the caps for a couple buttons -- and without film, there's nothing sensible to do with them. At least with a Kodak Handle you can single-load Instax and be able to expose it...
