There are too many pessamistic I told you so mechants here whom seem out to try and impress people with how much they know about how difficult it is to do anything. If Ilford had thought like that they would never of reserected themselves, give them some credit for knowing what they are doing.

I had a CEO that thought like you. He lost the company billions and terminated tens of thousands of employees in the end. An example is entire $300M factory built specifically for a product everyone under him said wouldn't work and was too difficult to produce was recently shut down and flattened 6 months after it was built. 300 people hired specifically to run the facilities and relocated to the area were laid off.

You are right that there some here trying to impress, but there some who what they are talking about too. That said, I don't think in this case Ilford is going out on a limb and I would welcome Ilford's foray into Polaroid's market, assuming they will perform the requisite due dilligence exploration and evaluation of the manufacturing technology.
