Polaroid Polapan 35mm Instant B&W Slide Film

I recently purchased a large batch of Polaroids PolaPan 35mm instant transparency film which has been refridgerated all its life but expired in 2004.
I tested a roll of the film today and found while the speed of the film has not slowed and the contrast of the material was as expected one thing which did seem odd to me is a slightly yellow cast to the films image area and the rebate being blue.

Unfortunately being 24 I was not in the photographic industry when Polaroid discontinued this product in Australia at the end of the 90's. This test roll is my first hands on experience with this material and while im happy with the look i have achieved from it I am curious to find out weather this cast was a property of the material or weather this material has altered in its age.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Can´t help you - but I hope you may help me Where did you purchase the filmrolls? I´ve been looking everywhere for the Polachrome or Polapan :confused: I recently bought the processor and can´t use it now :?

I shot a lot of Poloroid color and black and white film in the eary and mid 80 when I was working for the wire, most of the film is fading fast, but my color slides has a blue cast not yellow. It is likley the age of the film.

I shot a bit of the B&W stuff in 2005 (mine had expired in 1991!) and do remember a blue base.

Oh, just to chip in with a 'me too' - if anyone knows where one could lay one's hands on some rolls of Polapan, Polagraph or Polablue in the UK I'd be eternally grateful - I'd love to try this stuff out. Too late I fear, but no harm asking!

my find was luck I have about 20 rolls of it but 15 are from the same batch , its like gold. I w2onder if the patent is available for this item as maybe someone would re make it, Im sure there would be a market.
