My friend gifted me not one, but two Polariod Land Camera Colorpack ii's. But it seems film is longer made (and im not paying the prices for the expired film on the market)
Can anything be done with these? Converted to take 120 film? Converted to take sheet film? Anything? Or are they just interesting door stops.
I'm not familiar with that particular model but the film gate in my J66 is just large enough to seat a single sheet of 4x5 film. Combined with the light meter mask for 100iso film it works as a 'musket'-style single shot camera.
Super fiddly but barring significant physical modification it's the only way to get an image out of the camera.
Most examples I've seen required machine shop to fit a 4X5 back on while maintaining the proper film to lens distance. I have a Pathfinder that I picked up a yard sale, the shutter will not cock, at the time I thought I would have it converted to 4X5 or 6X9 with a grafic back. That was maybe 15 or more years ago and the cost was estimated to be over $400. With a plastic body, maybe epoxy a 6X9 back?
