Polaroid Instant Pack Film

Can anyone tell me what cameras the 3.25 x 4.25 film pack fits? I got a Polaroid Spectra for free yesterday and am wondering if it works in the camera. And, do the pack films have a battery incorporated?

Spectra uses the "spectra" packs of film. They have an integrated battery. You open the door on the front and slide the pack in. The box should come with the instructions. It's an integral film, no peeling necessary.

The spectra camera does not use so called instant peel-apart pack film, I get the feeling that's what you have. You'll need a camera like the polaroid land camera 350 which will cost you about $18 shipped on ebay and yield very nice results.

Were the Spectra films discontinued and what's left is new old stock?

Polaroid discontinued it but IBV has it slated for reproduction.

Every last one of Polaroid's films have been discontinued . You can still get some of them form Polapremium.com They offer more and more film all the time. They have an agreement with Polaroid to sell of everything they have left. The good new is that The Impossible Project has bought Polaroids machines to make the 600 and I belive the spectra film again. So hold that camera. I suggest getting a Land Camera for pack film, which it what you have. I really suggest one that does not fold too. I know the folding ones look nice, but the batteries for many of them are hard to find. They hard plasic ones that don't fold are the best (I think...) because they use "AA"
batteries. I have this same camera. I LOVE it! I got this photo off google and there you can find this camera on Ebay for $0.99 so I would grab it! Polaroid Super Colorpack. Great Camera!Dead Link Removed

Ok I don't have any film, just the Spectra camera, but I want to experiment. The suggestion above was a Polaroid 350 to use the Fuji stock, is that the only one, or was there a whole series that can use the Fuji product? The Land camera that is mentioned, what series is that? Is that the original one?

You can still buy spectra film some places.

There was a whole series of cameras. All of the land cameras that use packfilm use the same type. That's my personal favorite, it does it all w/ included rangefinder.
