Your's has a flash?
I've kind of tightly taped a 3v lithium battery in mine to get it to work but you can buy the proper batteries online.
Googled and found a site that mentions what you need
"3.0v for Polaroid (large snaps) replaces PX24, 532, 2LR50, 1308AP, V24PX
Fits Polaroid models: 103, 104, 125, 135, 210, 215, 315, 320, 330, 335*, 350*, 360*, 420, 430, 440, 450*, M60, M80*, and Countdown 70, Countdown 90* "
If you google some of those names after "replaces", you can probably find more sites that sell the battery.
You can't really use the camera without the battery, it runs the meter which runs the shutter speed. It does have a default shutter speed but I can't remember what it is exactly, it's pretty fast. A good test to make sure the battery is working is to try to take a picture indoors and if the shutter speed is fast, it's not working. If it takes forever, that's about right.
