Do you mean a point light source for an enlarger? If so, what enlarger?

I need the condensers etc and the light source. It would be easiest to just buy a complete enlarger if there was one available, or a head with condensers. I don't get to be choosy I think this stuff is getting pretty rare.

So what enlarger do you have? A Beseler Point Light Source is designed for Beseler 4x5 condensers and will only work on Beseler 45 and CB7 enlargers. It will not fit on anything other enlargers. I have a Beseler Point Light Source and a Beseler 4x5 condenser but it's of no use to you unless you have the right enlarger.

As far as I know Omega, Beseler and Durst made point light sources for their 4X5 enlarges, the the 70s vintage The Print by AA has a photo of his Beserler with a 35mm point source head on a shelf near by. I have never seen one for a MF enlarger. I converted an old Federal Enlarger a 314 with double condenser. The light source can be move up and down but not side to side as with a true point source. I had a lamp shop but in a clear halogene socket and buld with a dimmer so I could control the output. With a point source as you already know the lens is kept wide open.

You might to contact KHB in Canada, if anyone knows if there is a MF point source it will him.

That AA photo shows two Beseler 4x5 enlargers with a 4x5 point light source on the shelf. That's the only Beseler Point Light Source I know about. It was made for the CB7 which has 7" condensers, but will fit on the 4x5 enlargers (6.5" condensers) with "washers". I have two of them right now, and I only need one. For some reason, even though they are rare, they keep falling into my lap. I've sold two in the last few years.

The unit height is adjustable, and the 12v light bulb can be moved left-right & forward-back to get it right in the middle of the condensers.
