Beyond the photographic and artistic inspiration I got, one of the things that really struck me was just how similar writing a poem and printing a photo are in terms of when they might be done and in the re-writing/re-printing when we are trying to distill our work into something fully presentable.

Like poems, truly great photos require a huge amount of work and refinement.

The more I think about my part-time output, 6 to 12-a-year seems a reasonable goal.
