Pocket Wizard for Mamiya 645pro?

Hi everyone,
I'm fairly new to the mamiya 645 pro, and i'm wanting to take the step into studio photography with it. Can someone guide me in the right directon for a reliable pocket wizard set up that works on this camera? There seems to be a weath of info out there but thought i'd ask people who arn't biased trying to sell me stuff

Any trigger that uses the hotshoe will work, from the cheap Chinese triggers to the pocket wizards. I have good experience with the Yongnuo and Godox triggers. Many modern on-camera flashes and studio strobes have wireless receivers built in. So you may want to look at what strobes you'll get first and then get the trigger that goes with the system. Those triggers often act as a remote control for the flash units. I like the Godox system as it covers a wide range from small on-camera flashes to large studio strobes, battery or AC powered.

If you also use a digital camera, then it is advantages to get a dedicated trigger that uses the advanced functions of the digital camera. For example, I have a Canon DSLR and got Godox Xpro-C(anon) trigger. It works flawless as a simple flash trigger on the medium format film cameras like the Mamiya 645 camera's.

The 645 Pro does not provide TTL metering for flash, therefore you don't need anything but a dummy trigger. They can be had for $20 pretty much anywhere.

Youtuber Robert Hall has a lot of good videos on Godox equipment and flash photography in general.

I use Pocket Wizard with my Bowens flashes, and Nikon digital and analog bodies and Hasselblad, it has worked flawlessly for me, I’ve also used it for triggering a hotshoe flash (Nikon SB-800), all good. I presume the 645 has a hotshoe on it, so, the sending unit will work with no other cables, otherwise you plug in a sync cable between the camera and radio which is supplied. Same on the flash side, one of my Bowens has a built-in PW radio card, so I usually set up to trigger it from the camera.
Pocket Wizard does have support for some TTL systems, though not sure if that includes anything Mamiya has, but you need a compatible flash too.
