Hi folks,
I got these bottles of PMK Pyro for free with another purchase, both are sealed but probably 10 years old. Any chance it might still be usable?

I'm currently using some PMK from Formulary I purchased in 2011, and it's perfect. I know it's not 10 years old, but it indicates that PMK keeps well. I'd pour out a little Part A into a glass jar and look at its colour. As long as it's not chocolate brown or black, indicating severe oxidation, it should be OK to use.

Since you have the developer at hand all it would cost you is a little time to mix it and try it out. A practice sheet or film and you'll know whether it is good or not. My guess??? I'd say it's good to go, but it's for you to find out. I'm sure we are all curious so make sure you let us know what you find out. JohnW

So I tested the solutions this morning with pieces of film and cutton buds. As you can see, solution A leaves a darkened spot, solution B remains clear and, mixed together, it leaves a pitch black spot.

It has been sitting in my closet for 8 months, I was going to drop it at my local chemical waste depot because I assumed it was no longer usable. heh
