So, in the instructions for mixing the stock, I am using the entire contents of each of the chems, correct? So I don't have to measure?
Then keeping both the A and the B in 2 bottles until I'm ready to make working per the instructions.
Seems like a very long life for the Stock which I'm a bit happy about.
Yes, you use all of the chemicals in the little plastic envelopes to mix your stock solutions.
Then you use a small amount of concentrate to mix your working solution just before you process your film.
If you are mixing stock from powders, be sure to wear a respirator when handling pyro. Breathing it's dust will cause lung damage. I used to mix mine outdoors.
For rotary processing with PMK, Gordon Hutchings recommends adding a small quantity of EDTA to the working solution. Prepare a 1% solution by dissolving 10 grams of EDTA in 1000 ml of water. Add 5 ml of the 1% solution per liter of PMK just before developing the film. 300 ml of the 1:2:100 solution is recommended for each 8x10 equivalent (36 exp 35mm, 120 roll, 4x 4x5).
Again, thank you for your help. I'm almost ready. One thing that thru me for a small loop is that the instruction booklet that you attached states to place the negs back into the used developer which of course is hard for the jobo processor, or it states to use as an alt. to use a alkaline after bath by adding 5 grams of sodium metaborate per liter of water.
I'm assuming I can set this up as an additional bottle / step in my processor but would worry about the rotation for the two moments. Do you think I should do this with a full two moments?
Again, Thank you for your help.
