Just got a lens as a bargain but not able to identify it. I assume it is a mxture out of two ...

Brass lens, 11,5cm in height, 8,5 cm diameter, glass is a bit smaller. No normal slot for a waterhouse stop, only a slot in front of the lens.

It's a 2-lens design, the only engraving says "60cm", as far as I can say it's really the focal length.

Image circle I can't exactly judge about at the moment as I have to built a new lens board for my B&J. But it looks at least like 8x10 ... If I have any time the next weekend I will take a plate with it.

The inner tube (with the lenses) can taken out, is also made of brass and looks like a clean tube without any gear or similar, simply clamped through a knurled screw.

any help would be appreciated!

as far as I could test it illuminates at least 16x20 without on the ground glass visible vignetting. Would have shot a plate if

- my B&J would be stable enough at this extension
- and my collodion wouldn't have aged again ..

How I hate these "ifs"!
