This is a long shot!

I have a Plessey Communicator. It is an audio/visual device. Desktop
with a ground glass screen. It uses a special cassette loaded with
full frame 35mm film which is projected, by rear projection on to the
screen. Also in the cassette is a 1/4 inch tape. On the operation of a
switch or foot-switch it advances one frame and the tape plays a
commentary, or it will work automatically, advancing in time with the
commentary. I was given it many years ago and I managed to acquire
some more cassettes from a firm in London.

It is a superbly built piece of kit, very high standard. I have the
Operating Manual for it.

I have ,over the years, enquired at almost every department of
Plessey, and no one knew anything about it. I believe that the address
on the Manual no longer exists.

I also have a Film strip table top device that uses standard Phillips
style cassette, and loose rolls of half-frame film strip. I believe
this one was used to give presentations by one of the insurance
companies.

I would like them to find a good home before I become too decrepit.

Please, does anyone know anything about these devices.

Cheers Ron.
