I've been lurking in the background here for a while and guessed that it was time to say hello.

Actually Ailsa McWhinnie (or "Her Maj", as she's better known at B&W Photography) suggested that I ought to come and join in with the fun, and, as I'm searching for a bit of gear, I thought that this would be a good opportunity.

Welcome Jerry, no since in lurking..this is a great place if you are interested in Analog Photography..and some of the folks even use the "d" word.
