I'm planning a road trip to Minnesota in September and will be in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area for a few days. I'd like to have a few rolls of color print film developed and printed while I'm there. Which labs do you recommend ?

I'll also be up in the Duluth area for a while. If there are labs up there, which are recommended?

Hopefully not too late for your road trip. You didn't say which format, but the 3 labs I'm aware of are Linhof, West Photo, and National Camera (Golden Valley).

If you've come and gone, I hope you had an enjoyable trip.

@mgb74 Thanks for the follow up. Yup, I've been there and back and although I skipped Ashland, WI, made it to Northern Wisconsin, and Minneapolis (what an mess!) and had a wonderful trip. I did get to visit the National Camera Exchange bricks and motar in Golden Valley - it was very busy!

Sorry I didn't see this sooner.

mgb74 essentially nailed the three that are available.... Linhof in St. Louis Park (formerly of Edina), West Photo in N.E. Minneapolis and National Camera in Golden Valley. However, I'm not sure if Linhof does their developing in-house; last time I brought some film there, maybe six months ago, it was a two-week wait for processing.

In the Duluth area, there is True North Color.

National Camera is a bit of an institution; I believe they started right after WWII. I hope you got up to the Shutterbug department (upstairs) where all the "good stuff" is.

I suppose you found out about our road construction. The saying is that there are 2 seasons in Minnesota, winter and road construction.

rats, I missed the upstairs!
...I guess I'll have to go back.

The road destruction on the west side was especially painful...my friend pointed out (a little too late) one may avoid it when southbound by taking 394 to 100...
I was really shocked by how much the twin cities had grown and changed but to be fair, it has been some 30+ years since my last visit to the area.

That upstairs section at National Camera is a fun place to poke around... picked up a 3.5cm f3.5 Elmar last time I was there.

I know this is an old thread, but someone might find this helpful.

Fast Foto Film Lab in Bloomington , they do C41 35 and 120 in house and pretty darn fast, same day most times, everything else (BW, Slide) gets sent out.
Nat cam is good also but they only do 35 c41 in house , everything else gets sent out.
