Please help me identify this weird Cambo bellows

I don't know what the slide in area is for. It seems to be held in place with glue strips, so I could peel it off and simply sell the new bellows, but before I do that, I'd like to know if is a specialty peice that someone may need like it is. It came with a box lot of goodies, some of which I'm keeping, but I don't need the Cambo piece. Thanks for the help. Usually I'm the guy identifying your oddball pieces. Been around this stuff a long long time, but this is new to me.

Could it be a bracket for a front mounted Packard Shutter?

Kino, Cambo bellows go between the standards. The Horseman Optical Exposure Computer inserts in the camera's back like a sheet film holder, with the measuring surface behind the rear standard in or very near the film plane.

Yeah, I just changed my suggestion after looking over the catalog page...

Looks more Matte box related.

Anyway, I should stop speculating...

Thanks folks. Let me further ask this. The protrusion beyond the face of the bellows end is just slightly more than a 1/4". If they were designed to allow a 'mask' to be in front of the film area, does that protrusion sticking beyond the bellow face on the bellows side of the standard allow a back to even go on, or would a 1/4" sticking into the film back device area preclude it even being able to go into the standard?

Here's some photos of the rear standard of my Calumet 45MX, which is a rebadged Cambo as you know.

I just don't see any wiggle room in there; it has to mount down into the recess and only the inner lip of the original bellows fits. This frame would certainly interfere with an unmodified standard as far as I can tell.

Thanks. Appreciate it. Whatever it is, it's coming off and I'll just offer the bellows alone. It wouldn't fit through that area. Very curious.
