Hi Everyone, just inherited a vintage Plaubel Makina II. At least, that's what I think it is! I've found a few manuals for later models, but not this one. So I'm not sure whether I'm just not using it correctly or if there is a problem with it. I can't get the shutter to fire.

Just wondering if I've missed something blindingly obvious about how to use it! Any help (or even a user manual!) would be greatly appreciated.

When leaf shutters sit for long periods, they tend to get sticky from the lubes they used in the past.
If it does cock but not fire, it most likely needs a CLA.

Is it the 670 or the 67? Either way, send to Nippon in ny. They know this camera well, have lots of spare parts and do excellent work. BTW, amazing camera and worth the 6 bills you'll need for a complete cla.
