Plastic reusable 35 mm cassettes

The cassettes I recently purchased have snap in caps (not screwed on) that have tans which sit in slots on the flat top and bottom sides. How does one open these ? Do I need special tool ?

Are these the cassettes where the main cylindrical body is split in half? If so, the are Flic Pic casettes. You can buy a tool to open them:
