Plans for a changing box? (Like a changing bag but a box)

Forumite Joe Van Cleave has a plan for a field box, I believe.

These things used to be very common and cheap when they were being chucked into the garbage skip along with their accompanying drugstore mini-labs. I just looked on ebay and they are now selling at Leica collector prices. I'd just get the Photoflex one. Or, you could put a cardboard box in a changing bag. Or a couple of bendy-sticks in the corners of a changing bag to make it into a sort of tent.

People who do wet plate photography need a large dark box, so if you search for "wet plate dark box" or "wet plate dark box plans" you can find some ideas. Changing tents pack down smaller but dark boxes can be more roomy and rigid; depends on your needs.

Ah, I never knew that. But yeah I'd prefer a box - I'll look into it but I may be content with the tent. Ty so much

There kinda puney
After a long wait I was able to pick up a Fuji Dark Box. No problems loading big sheets.
I have the Fuji, too. The prices have become insane. I think I paid $40 for mine. Now they're over $200.

I put a cardboard box inside a large changing bag. Now I feel so inadequate.

Does anyone have plans for something like this that I can use to recreate? Or just any ideas?

Ilford (in England) was marketing an 'box' with a lid (and fabric arm 'sleeves' that allowed you to re-load film holders inside that 'dark box
If my ageing memory serves me well enough it was 'about' 50 pounds sterling. Being somewhat of a cheap-skate I built my own for a "H*LL of a lot less.
